Orchestral Music in Latin American and Jazz Styles

The Sampson Orchestra of Cambridge, conducted by Darrell Davison, performs eight exciting and colourful works by 20th-century composers in Latin American and Jazz styles. These pieces include Piazzolla's "Libertango", Márquez's "Danzón No. 2", and Gershwin's "Cuban Overture" (1932) and "Rhapsody in Blue" (1924), the latter featuring esteemed solo pianist John Paul Ekins. The local charity which will benefit from this concert is the Foundation for Young People's Mental Health.
