Ein Deutsches Requiem

Note: Tickets for this performance are no longer available to buy online or through our Box Office, but can still be bought on the door at St Giles' Church.
The German Requiem was composed between 1865-1868 and represents Brahms' longest and largest ensemble work. Across seven movements it echoes a theme of comfort in times of sadness, and (as the name suggests) is presented in German rather than the traditional Latin.
The Stapleford Choral Society is delighted to perform this piece with the orchestra of the Academy of Great St Mary's, under our shared conductor Adam Pounds.
