The Sampson Orchestra of Cambridge, conducted by Darrell Davison, performs orchestral works by Brahms, Beethoven, and Mendelssohn. The concert centrepiece is Mendelssohn's atmospheric "Scottish" Symphony, while the soloist item, featuring Antonina Suhanova, is Beethoven's heroically styled "Emperor" Piano Concerto.
