Instrumentalists from across Cambridge University and the Choir of Clare College, Cambridge perform three of Britten’s masterpieces, marking 50 years after the composer’s death in 1976. His first published work, Sinfonietta, and his setting of Christopher Smart’s extraordinary poem Rejoice in the Lamb, preface a performance of his 1948 cantata on the legendary life of St Nicolas.
