J.S. Bach - The Complete Sonatas for Violin & Obbligato Harpsichord, BWV 1014-1019



Across three consecutive evenings (September 10th, 11th & 12th), Rachel Stroud (baroque violin) and Andrew Arthur (harpsichord) present a fascinating exploration of all six of J.S. Bach’s innovative instrumental sonatas which feature the harpsichord in an equal partnering ‘obbligato’ role with the violin. Full to the brim with sublime melody, textural variety, virtuosity, intricate contrapuntal dialogue and harmonic depth, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience these ground-breaking masterworks played in a beautiful, intimate, tranquil setting - an experience not to be missed!
