This will be the first time St John’s College Chapel stages a play, and Measure for Measure will introduce audiences to theatre in the space.

Vienna is suddenly under strict new laws, and Claudio is sentenced to death for a minor offence. His sister Isabella, preparing to enter a convent, pleads for his life — only to be met with an offer that forces her into an impossible position. The play traces what happens when those enforcing the rules fail to live by them, and how quickly principle, pressure, and power collide.
