The University of Cambridge Philharmonic Orchestra (UCPO) is delighted to present our Lent term programme. We will showcase the Faust Overture (No. 6) by curiously underperformed Romantic Era composer Mayer. This will sit alongside Sibelius’Pelléas et Mélisande, the atmospheric opening familiar to many as the theme music to the BBC’s The Sky at Night. We will also perform Bizet’s early work Symphony in C, which he began composing aged just 17. The orchestra is pleased to welcome a trio of new-to-UCPO conductors: Rebecca Doherty, Tom Edney and Sasha Sneyd. Light refreshments will be available to purchase during the interval.

Little Saint Mary’s is wonderfully located in the very centre of the historic city of Cambridge, on the corner of Trumpington Street and Little St Mary’s Lane. It is next door to Peterhouse, and directly opposite Pembroke College.
The church is all on one level and so disabled access from the street and around the church is excellent.
