The Cambridge University Chinese Orchestra Society proudly presents its annual concert of 2019 – 行 Odyssey! Join us at 7:30pm on 10th March for an enjoyable evening of Chinese music featuring both Western and traditional Chinese instruments.
As the region’s only orchestra dedicated to Chinese music, the orchestra will take you on a journey across the globe. Our concert will consist an eclectic blend of pieces including “Sunset at Tamsui” (淡水暮色) and “Romances of Cambridge” (康桥情), the latter of which was composed by one of our very own members, Dong Heng Qian. Take a slow stroll with us as we perform “Ambling” (彳亍), and relax as we portray the peaceful night sky with “Colourful Clouds Chasing the Moon” (彩云追月). We also look forward to presenting many solo and ensemble performances, including pieces from our very own Guzheng and Erhu ensembles.
