A Very English Coronation

Tickets for this event are no longer on sale online. Remaining tickets will be available to purchase on the door.

The Cambridge University Symphony Chorus (CUSC) presents their first concert of the new academic year alongside their principal conductor, Richard Wilberforce, in the magnificent setting of the Gothic Revivalist Church of Our Lady of The Assumption and The English Martyrs.

An occasion for celebration and pageantry, the coronation ceremony is steeped in tradition and rich in musical marvel. CUSC presents a programme of musical gems that have accompanied the inaugurations of British Monarchs, including Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G Minor, Walton’s Coronation Te Deum, Parry’s I was Glad, and Stanford’s Coronation Gloria in B-flat.
